The Greenbrier Soccer Club only assigns referees who are currently certified with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). The administration of GSC makes every effort possible to provide education to their referees and prospective referees at every opportunity possible. The directors of the referee program take great pride in ensuring that all officials, both young and old, develop in their referee careers both for their benefit, and the benefit of the beautiful game of soccer. Because Greenbrier SC is a smaller, recreational league with few classic teams, most officials are Grade 9 referees (all are encouraged to obtain their Grade 8) or Grade 8 referees. Greenbrier also has a Grade 7 referee and a member of the AR Young Gunz mentoring program.

Referees currently certified with USSF for 2009 and who are interested in working games in Greenbrier should contact James Johnston at referee@greenbriersoccer.org to receive information on game assignments.

Contrary to belief, referees working games in Greenbrier are paid. The pay-scale is determined by the GSC Board of Directors with modifications proposed by the Referee Program Director and is posted below:
